  1.    This program requires 256K Ram and is IBM AT and XT compatible. Requires 
  2.    DOS 3.2 or higher. Recommend run from hard drive. Make a directory on 
  3.    your hard drive and unzip to the designated directory. After you unzip
  4.    the file,you will see 3 files. File_id.Diz, share_1.inf and GoAK1_93.exe.
  5.    Type goak1_93 and the file will self extract. type GoAk to start the
  6.    program. The 1-93 stands for first quarter issue. Quarter issues will
  7.    be published and will be numbered for the quarter and year. The second 
  8.    quarter will be goAk2_93. There are 5 graphics in this version for a
  9.    preview of the VGA version. However, if you do not have a VGA monitor,
  10.    the program is designed to check your monitor and will not show the 
  11.    graphics if it detects your monitor cannot display the mode of graphics.

  13.    This is an electronic diskbook, written in hypertext, as a Travel
  14.    Reference Source of information on Southeast Alaska.  You may use a 
  15.    mouse or simple keyboard commands.  Look under menu, under File, and
  16.    read Welcome for a description of the commands. This is Volume I,
  17.    No. 1, Issue 1ST Quarter.  The next Issue will be distributed at the
  18.    beginning of the calendar year 2nd Quarter. Watch your favorite BBS
  19.    to get your copy. Vacation Alaska Southeast & the Inside Passage was 
  20.    designed to allow you to wander aimlessly and pleasantly looking up 
  21.    your interests,hobbies, and activities.  More brochures and ads are
  22.    being added for the 2nd Quarter Issue. Graphics versions will also be
  23.    distributed during the 1st quarter.They will be named GoAk2V93.zip,or
  24.    as size of files will grow with the graphics, the Nine(9) of 93 will be
  25.    replaced with the 3 and the last space will become the file letter.For 
  26.    example in the event of cutting the file in two, placing forms and 
  27.    graphics in one file and the reader, start up file and data files in 
  28.    another. The reader and data files will be GoAk2V3A.zip the forms
  29.    and graphics will become GoAk2v3B.zip
  30.    The "2"  representing the Calendar Quarter. "V" for VGA ONLY! "3" will
  31.    represent the year and "A" will represent the file number.The VGA 
  32.    version will require a VGA Monitor and a hard disk. We will put the 
  33.    uncompressed size of the file in the Readme.1st file. We are currently 
  34.    obtaining pictures of yachts, lodges, and other graphics to let you see - 
  35.    and these pictures are worth a million words.

  37.    This is Freeware and there is no registration fee involved. However, to 
  38.    obtain demographics, we ask that you fill out the form on the main menu 
  39.    under Instant Forms.  You have the option to have us send you the VGA 
  40.    version complete with graphics and forms via disk for the Disk Cost and 
  41.    Shipping and Handling. You may use, enjoy and plan your trip to Alaska 
  42.    without reservation,after you fill out your form. ( a postage to register).
  43.    We will be happy to mail your VGA version  of "Vacation Alaska Southeast 
  44.    and The Inside Passage" on disk, Send a check or money order for $24.00 
  45.    for 4 sets of disks (the 4 quarterly versions) a year.Please give copies 
  46.    to your friends and business associates and upload to your favorite BBS's, 
  47.    but please only distribute the original zip file(s).  Do not alter or 
  48.    change.
